Welcome
We are the "Liveliest Post in Bergen County!". We are always seeking new members and we welcome you to come join us. We also have our other organizations, The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion (SAL). We also have our American Legion Riders chapter. Department Convention
The Department of NJ Convention begins on Thursday, June 7th down in Wildwood. Anyone wishing to be a delegate to the convention should contact their Commander or President. Last we heard, there were still rooms available at the Imperial 500 where many “170 Family Members” will be staying. The Post will have its Brandy Alexander Cocktail Party on Friday afternoon, and on Friday evening, right across the street at the VIP will be the Bergen County party. On Saturday, we’ll be marching in the parade, details later.... |

We will have our last pancake breakfast until we start the grill back up again in September. Breakfast is Sunday May 20th from 8AM till 11AM. Please attend to show your support of appreciation for our hard working crew for their efforts month after month from September to May. Mark it on your calendar now and come on out.
May 28th we will celebrate Memorial Day beginning with a Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 8:30 AM. At 9:30 AM Post 170 will hold its service at the monuments by Midland School. It is a brief but meaningful service to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, for all of us! After the parade, which begins at 11:30, festivities will continue at the American Legion grounds. There will be a band, clowns for the kids and refreshments for all.
On June 16th at Noon, Post 170 will retire unserviceable flags in ceremony followed by the Americanism Day program to distribute awards and scholarships. If you have unservicable flags to be burned, bring them to the Post prior to that day if possible.
