On a personal note, On behalf of myself and my family, we would like to give the most heartfelt “thank you” we possibly could to our American Legion Post 170 Family, the amount of love, respect, phone calls, texts, cards & visits we received after the passing of my mom were pleasantly overwhelming. We know that during the ceremonies from the Auxiliary (Thank you for your words Peggy & Roberta), my SAL (thank you Mark) & the Riders (thank you Jim) my Mom was looking down with a smile on her face, she really got the sendoff she deserved, and we know she appreciated it. Thank you to all of you who made us realize that at such a tragic, heartbreaking time we are truly blessed to have our 170 family, we will never forget the feeling you gave us. I am lucky to be a part of this family, and as Winnie the Pooh has said in different words, I am lucky to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
For God and Country,
